Plastic Storage Trays Now Available
Chase-Logeman Corporation offers two styles of plastic storage trays in medium impact styrene or polycarbonate (autoclavable) for ampules, vials, bottles,aerosol cans and similar round or square containers. These trays can be used with Chase-Logeman’s automatic tray loaders and automatic tray unloaders as well as rotary unscramblers and accumulators manufactured by Chase-Logeman and others.
STYLE A – TRAY WITH LOCKING COVER Tray is 12″ wide x 20″ deep x 3 1/2″ high with three height levels for a slide on cover with locking tab with hole for wired ID tag. Open end at 12″ dimension. Trays are stackable and designed for pallet loading.
STYLE B – TRANSFER OR “BOTTOMLESS” TRAY Tray is 11″ wide x 19 1/2″ deep x 1 1/4″ high with open at 11″ dimension. The bottom and sides of the open end are beveled for easy loading of containers. Prices for quantities in lots of 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 are available.
Dual Chamber Bottle Filling and Capping for Diagnostics
Greensboro, NC — Chase-Logeman has developed a unique proprietary means of applying a flanged nasal atomizing spray pump cap assembly at rates up to 60 per minute without activating the spray pump in the process. This feature is available on their Model FS series filling and stoppering machines and can also be adapted to their filling, plug inserting and screw capping machines. The unique design of a movable escapement receives the spray cap from a feeder track at one station. At the following station a ram pushes the escapement down which snaps the spray cap onto the bottle. Since the spray cap is contained in the escapement no force is applied to the spray head.
The Model FS series offers sanitary conveyor design, ChaseLock® no tools-quick change vial and stopper change parts and a choice of filling systems. The model illustrated has a ceramic piston and cylinder pump. The stopper feeder bowl and track system utilizes a unique, patent pending, vacuum attachment means requiring no tools or other devices to hold the feeding system in place and allows instant release at the flick of a switch. Vial or bottle change parts simply lift off and are replaced with a new set and hand-locked in place. The stopper escapement is removed with a twist of a lever and replaced. The insertion plunger snaps into place like a quick change hose coupling. A complete change over is made in a matter of minutes.

The Model ATL-500S series Automatic Tray Loaders utilize servo motors to control the actual loading of vials into the tray. 100% digital pusher set-up means minimal training and set-up time. No tools required when changing vial sizes, simply select next vial from menu. New vial sizes are easily added. Aside from the wide range of glass and plastic containers they will handle, the ATL series can be built to load plastic trays and open end paperboard trays as well as metal trays. As many as 400 or more vials per minute have been handled with ease. CHASE-LOGEMAN CORPORATION has been issued patent number 5,813,517 for a means of using vacuum for holding vibratory parts feeder bowls and tracks to their vibratory base drives, eliminating the use of bolts or other mechanical clamping means. Changing feeder bowls and tracks can be accomplished in a few minutes with the flick of a switch rather than the 20 – 30 minutes normally associated with change over. This patented system is being offered as an option on all new monoblock filling and closing machines. This patented feature can be used by itself or combined with the rest of the ChaseLock® quick change container and closure change part system.
