SEALING
Sealing

Standard aluminum seals up to 20mm can be handled
with ease. Styles include conventional open top,
tear-off & flip-off. Sealing is usually combined with filling
and stoppering and takes place on a separate star
wheel located downstream from the filling and
stoppering operation.

As vials enter the sealing star wheel the seal is picked-
off by the vial top. The star wheel then moves to the
sealing station position where the vial is lifted into the
spinner assembly. When the bottle is firmly clamped into
the spinning section, the roller wheels contact the lower
portion of the seal, and rolls it under the bottle neck
flange. The bottle is then lowered into the star wheel
pocket, and finally discharged onto the system conveyor.
