Stopper Removal

An automatic stopper removal device was designed to
remove lyophilization stoppers in "Univials" or "Monovials"
just prior to insertion of the center seal, with time being of
the essence.

The device can be incorporated on the infeed conveyor of
the Model PC2-UNIVIAL machine so that stoppers are
removed within 20 seconds of having center seal placed
in them. This is especially important with hygroscopic
products. It also eliminates the problems associated with
operators manually removing stoppers.
