CAPPING

Capping

Standard caps, both screw-on and snap-on up to
42mm can be handled with ease. Styles include
ophthalmic dropper tip caps, nasal spray tip caps, flat
caps, snap caps, etc.

When screw capping, the operation is performed in two
steps. Screw caps are first placed and partially tightened
on the positioned container. The container is then
transported to the cap torquing station which secures the
cap on the container. A separate motor with a variable
torque clutch assembly in the drive section allows a range
of release torque values for the caps. Torque can be
adjusted "on the fly" by simply turning the "Torque
Adjustment Knob" up or down, depending on the
requirement. Screw capping power is supplied by two
dedicated electric motors. One for placing the cap and
one for torquing the cap.
